Our Story: A Legacy of Care and Compassion
Brothers Dr. Abel Hittinger and Dr. Jobe Hittinger grew up right here in Richland County, where their love for animals blossomed early. Inspired by their weekend work for a local veterinarian during their school years, both pursued careers in veterinary medicine, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Animal Science and Doctorates of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University.
In 1998, they brought their dream full circle by establishing Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital. In 2005, they expanded their vision by acquiring Clearfork Veterinary Hospital in Bellville, bringing their trusted, heartfelt care to even more families across the region.
Through decades of experience, countless continuing education courses, and an unwavering commitment to their patients, Dr. Abel and Dr. Jobe have built a veterinary practice grounded in trust, innovation, and genuine compassion.
